Michael David Myers Sr., known to everyone as Mike, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 18, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Joe and Dorothy Myers.

Mike graduated from Lawton High School in Lawton, Oklahoma, in 1972. In 1973, he proudly joined the United States Army, where he served his country until his honorable discharge in 1980, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, Mike continued his education at Cameron University and Central Texas College.

Mike built a long and respected career in the aerospace industry, working for companies including Hughes Aircraft, Chrysler Technologies, Raytheon, Bell Helicopter, and Boeing. Throughout his career, he served as an instructor, systems support specialist, and technical writer, earning the respect of colleagues through his knowledge, work ethic, and dedication to his craft.

Outside of work, Mike enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved trying new restaurants, considered himself a true lottery-ticket expert, and took pride in gardening and working in the yard. He was always tackling a new project around the house, though finishing it wasn't always part of the adventure. His curiosity, sense of humor, and willingness to take on something new brought joy to those around him.

Family was at the heart of Mike's life. He shared his life with his wife, Deena Myers, and took great joy in the family they built together. He is survived by his children, Christina Bergeron and her husband, Henry Bergeron, of Lewisville, Texas, and their children, Olivia and Owen; and Michael Myers Jr. and his wife, Lindsey Myers, of Meridian, Texas, and their children, Londyn and Layla. He is also survived by Deena's children, Justin Sanders and his wife, Karen, of Prairie Hill, Texas, and Richard Sanders and his wife, Meagan, of Atlanta, Georgia, and their children, Charlotte and Avery. Mike cherished every moment spent with his family, and the memories they created together will be treasured for generations.

He is also survived by his siblings, Jim Myers of Haltom City, Texas; Johnny Myers of Hobart, Oklahoma; Shelley Pollock of Pembroke Pines, Florida; and Kelley Thornton of Lakeland, Florida, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dorothy Myers.

Mike will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to his country, his strong work ethic, and the quiet ways he showed his love every day. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the stories they will continue to share, and the countless lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
