Mattie Lee LightMay 5, 1926 ~ February 11, 2010 Mattie Lee Light, 83, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2010. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 15, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Darryl Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the funeral home. Mattie was born May 5, 1926 in Coryell County to James Robert and Ethel Cheek Johnson. She was a life long resident of the Waco-Hewitt area. She worked for Southwestern Bell for 45 years. She was very active with local and national square dancing associations. Preceding her in death was her husband, Edward David "Buster" Light. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, David L. Light and wife, Diane, and Larry Light of Lorena; grandchildren, Belinda Light and Stacy Light; and great grandchildren, Alycia Ordones and Ethan Light.
