Martha Mae McMasterAugust 25, 1930 ~ June 30, 2010 Martha Mae Wilson McMaster, 79, of Waco, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor Joe Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2010 at the funeral home. Martha was born August 25, 1930 in Amarillo, TX to Jap R. and Hattie (Wharton) Wilson. Besides being a loving wife and mother, she was a teacher in Abernathy, TX, Plainview, TX, and finishing her teaching career in Waco. She spent most of her career teaching home bound students. She was a longtime member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Neal McMaster and Joe Luke McMaster; sister, Nancy Thompson; and brothers, Jim, Jap and Joe Wilson. Those left behind to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Gene Weldon McMaster of Waco, TX; daughter, Pattie Simpson and husband, Zoe; granddaughters, Christie Burleson and husband, Justin, Ashley Knippers and husband, John; grandson, Matthew Simpson; great granddaughter, Zoey Knippers, all of Houston, TX; close loved relative, Cynthia Jean Johnston of Wichita, Kansas; brother, Ben Wilson and wife, Georgia of Claude, TX; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
