Marquita Hennig Schnaufer, 54, of Mart, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Providence Hospice. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with the Reverend Billy Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, February 11th at the funeral home. Mrs. Schnaufer was born on April 7, 1959 in Waco to Leo and Norma Hennig. She married Russell Schnaufer on November 17, 1978 in McGregor and worked for Farm Bureau for 20+ years until her illness. Mrs. Schnaufer loved feeding her catfish and taking care of her farm animals. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor. Her parents preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband; Russell Schnaufer of Mart, sons; Ryan Schnaufer of Waco and Terrell Schnaufer also of Waco, brothers; Brian Hennig of Gatesville and David Hennig and his wife, Pam of Lott.Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
