Marlene Stephens Hix passed away surrounded by family November 18, 2014.Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, at Smith Bend Coon Creek Cemetery with Pastor Darrell Price officiating.The family will greet visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 21, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.Marlene was born in Covington, Texas to Jim and Jewel (McMurray) Stephens. She married Homer Weldon Hix who preceded her in death in 1993. Marlene was an entrepreneur in nutrition sales and had several businesses.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 7 siblings.Survivors include children, David Weldon Hix, of China Spring, Michael Lee Hix and wife Melanie, of Hewitt, Sherry Hix Martinez and husband Rafael, of Point Venture; grandchildren, Jamie Hix, of Hewitt, and Felicia Hix, of San Antonio; great grandchildren, Noah Hix and Pacey Hix both of Hewitt; brothers, Newman Ray Stephens and wife May and E.C. Stephens and wife Reba, all of Cleburne; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
