Maria Bernal, 96, of Waco entered into rest Thursday, December 20, 2012 at her residence.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, December 24, 2012 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Waco with Rev. Roman Burgos, TOR officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Sunday at Connally Compton Funeral Directors in Waco with Deacon Jessie Garza officiating. The family will receive friends before and after the Rosary.Maria was born February 9, 1916 in Mexico to Pedro and Paubla Bazaldua. She loved to cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Maria will be missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.Survivors include his sons, Jose Bernal, Remigio Bernal; daughters, Maria Bernal, Ana Alejandro, Eva Juarez; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren also survive.Pallbearers will be Randy Cruz, Joe Juarez, Daniel Juarez, Julio Juarez, Joey Bernal, and Javier Bernal. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesus Alejandro, Rolando Alejandro, Hector Alejandro, and Edgar Alejandro.Arrangements made by Connally Compton Funeral Directors, Waco, Texas.
