Margaret SchutzaOct. 11, 1927 ~ Jan. 2, 2007 Margaret Louise Schutza, 79, of Eddy, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2007 at Waco Memorial Park with Pastor Truman R. "Butch" Hargrove, Jr. and Jim Knight officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 4, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Margaret was born Oct. 11, 1927 in Abbott, Texas to John Wesley and Una Mae Britton Russell. She married Willie "Bill" Schutza on July 19, 1947. Margaret first worked as a licensed beautician, then for over 20 years for Dr. E. W. Sparks as a podiatry nurse and finally as a receptionist for Dr. Paul Alexander. Margaret was a member of Speegleville United Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed painting ceramic pieces. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, J. W. Russell, Jr.; and great-grandson, Nathan Short. Those left behind to cherish her memory are husband, Willie "Bill" Schutza of Eddy; daughter, Brenda Short and husband Lonnie of Eddy; brother, Jimmy Russell and wife Suzanne of Hewitt; grandchildren, Heather Hykkonen and husband Pat of Carrolton, Shane Short of Eddy and Evonne Steiner of Smithville; great-grandchildren, Jessica Short, Luke Steiner and Maddie Steiner; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Holdbrook, Jr., Terry Holdbrook, Larry Lentschke, Aubrey Richards, Jay Russell and Marvin Schutza.
