Obituary

Margaret (Wachsmann) Schroeder passed away October 6, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m., Friday, October, 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery.Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., October 9, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors. Margaret was born the 3rd child to Leopold and Anna (Ahlbach) Wachsmann on October 19, 1922 in Leroy, Texas. She was a life-long member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellmead where she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters. She married Ervin Adolf Schroeder June 15, 1943. He preceded her in death May 19, 1994. She and Ervin enjoyed outdoor activities, dancing, a cold bud light and spending time with family.She is preceded in death by her brothers, Andrew L. Wachsmann and Joe L Wachsmann; sisters, Anna M. Zanter, Hattie M. Williams, and Estella M. Wright; great-granddaughter, Chelsea Barker and son-in-law, Albert Ach.Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy Ach of Palestine, TX and Doris Franklin and husband Terence of Del City, OK; grandchildren Toni W. Chan-Messina, Jamie Jackson, and Connie Coker; great grandchildren, Charlie Barker, Darian M. Parker, Alex James Coker, Lewis Cohen, Sophia Wai and Tohen Messina; great-great grandchild, Alica Charbarshard. She is also survived by her brothers, Alphonse P. Wachsmann, Leo L. Wachsmann and wife Margaret, George J. Wachsmann and wife Rose Merry and William L. Wachsmann and wife Clara Nell; brother-in-law, Gilbert Schroeder and wife, Gertrude, of Brenham, Texas; sisters-in-law Ruby Kocian of Jonesboro, TX and Evelyn Huska of Waco, TX and many nieces and nephews.The family would like to express sincere thanks to all of Margaret's caregivers, the staff at Gentiva Hospice and the staff of Wesley Woods Healthcare Center for the wonderful care/companionship given to Margaret.Pallbearers are Calvin Schroeder, John Zanter, Jerry Richard, Sam Wachsmann, Kevin Wachsmann, and Todd Wachsmann.Honorary Pallbearers are Gilbert Schroeder, Ted Thornton and Neil Wachsmann.
