Margaret DeRoonMarch 4, 1946 – September 22, 2010 Margaret DeRoon, 64, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in a local hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2010 at the funeral home. Margaret was born March 4, 1946 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Alfred and Luzanne (Lamont) Hearn. Margaret worked at Connally ISD with the Food Service Department. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John DeRoon; and brother, Bob Fredrickson. Those left behind to cherish Margaret's memory are her children, Martin C. DeRoon and wife, Barbara, Joey DeRoon and wife, Charlotte, Michael DeRoon and wife, Pam; grandchildren, Krystal Cehand and husband, Cayle, Sean Prisco, Ashlee Floyd, Walker DeRoon, Britney DeRoon, Cameron DeRoon; sisters, Marlene Fredrickson, Nancy Thiesfeld; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Cayle Cehand, Charles Coles, Mark Frazar, Sean Prisco, Clay Smith and Shane Smith.
