Luella Russell Crouse stepped into the Presence of her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of June 3rd, 2013 at home in Waco, TX with the dignity and faith of a well-lived life.A celebration of her life will be held at Connally – Compton Funeral Directors located at 4400 W. Waco Dr in Waco on Sunday, June 9th at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. David Turner officiating.Visitation will be Saturday evening, June 8th from 5 – 7 p.m.Luella was born March 1st, 1923 in Balko, OK to Elmer Herbert Russell and Gladys Long Russell. She was the middle child of five daughters. A joyous homecoming with all who had gone before included her husband of sixty-one years, Gerald Wesley Crouse; her parents; three sisters, Lenore Peck, Mona Eccles and Betty Slovacek; an infant son, Kevin Douglas Crouse and a host of many others.She is survived by sons Dwayne Wesley Crouse and wife, Jenny, of Titusville, FL; Gary Keith Crouse and wife, Phyllis, of Wichita, KS; and daughter, Karen Luanne Crouse Turner and husband, David, of Waco, TX. Additionally, Luella leaves behind nine grandchildren: Kimberly Crouse Burke, Kevin Crouse, Scott Crouse, Katina Crouse Sherman, Jamie Crouse, Melissa Crouse Clasen, Amanda Turner Beyerlein, Benjamin Turner and Lee Turner. Luella and husband Gerald were blessed with forty great-grandchildren.Luella is also survived by her younger sister, Belva Snyder, of Fischer, TX and many loving nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be: Jamie Crouse, Benjamin Turner, Lee Turner, Jacob Beyerlein, Michael Slovacek, Garton Slovacek.
