Linda Nell VanderLaan Holley, 68, of Waco, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 in Waco. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM, Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with the Reverend Lloyd "Bubba" Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13th at the funeral home.Mrs. Holley was born on August 30, 1948 in Corsicana, Texas to Walker and Agnus (Rodgers) Threet. She loved going on cruises, boating, fishing, spending time on her house boat but her true love was spending time with her sisters and family. Mrs. Holley had a great sense of humor and she owned and operated Linda Nell's Lounge until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy and Caleb Threet; sister, Kitty Spurgeon; husband, Jim F. Holley and her son, Joseph Timothy VanderLaan.Survivors include her daughter, Kerstin VanderLaan; sisters, Beweeta Gazaway, Patsy Knott, Marquita Minick, Sue Heaton and Nancy Northern; step children, Stacey Holland and her husband, Fred, Melissa Moore, Shelley McCurly and her husband, Mike, Kelly Weirman and her husband, Ron and James Allen and several step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
