Lillie H. "Dolly" SutherlandMay 28, 1927 – August 8, 2010 Lillie H. "Dolly" Sutherland, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 1624 Wooded Acres Drive, with the Reverend John Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Dolly was born May 28, 1927 in Waco, Texas to George Emil and Ella Christine (Londonberg) Haas. She married Philip K. Sutherland on May 24, 1946 in Reno, Nevada. She loved ceramics and was owner and operator of Lil's Ceramic Pour Farm in Axtell, Texas for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, George Haas and Frank Geier. Those left behind to cherish Dolly's memory are her loving husband of 64 years, Philip K. Sutherland; and son, Kenneth Frank Sutherland and wife, Stephanie. Pallbearers will be members of Chapter 4077 of The Military Order of The Purple Heart.
