Letha "Granny" Stroud, 86, of Waco, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at her residence with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 13, 2017 at Parkview Baptist Church with the Reverend John Collier officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 12th at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.Mrs. Stroud was born on June 21, 1930 in Penelope, Texas to Marvin Roger and Lottie "Bell" May. She loved sewing, quilting, cooking, the outdoors and watching her grandchildren play sports but her true love was her family. Mrs. Stroud was a committed member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, A.G. Stroud; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.Survivors include her son, Bill Carter and his wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Kim Woodliff and her husband, Davin, Kevin Carter and Karen Bloomer; great grandchildren, Ashley and Wes Havard, Aaron and Kortney Randolph, Dalton Woodliff, Corbin Carter, Caden Carter, McKenna Carter, Clay Bloomer and Kendall Bloomer; 3 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Bill May, and 1 sister, Evelyn Moore.Her great grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
