Leonor Garcia SalinasOctober 13, 1920 – August 1, 2010 Leonor Garcia Salinas, 89, of Waco, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 1, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 2001 N. 25th Street. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Leonor was born October 13, 1920 in Brownsville, Texas to Cenobio and Virginia Reyes Garcia. She was a devoted and loving mother and will be deeply missed by her children and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Benilde Tovar; and son, Fabian Garcia. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Elida Avila and husband, Ciprano, Francisco De Los Santos and wife, Aurora, Susana Santillan and husband, Remijio, Mario Garcia and wife, JoAnn; sister, Manuela Banda; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Sharon Sosa, Antonio Barocio, Fabian Garcia Jr., Jonathan Garcia, Tony Garcia and Salvador Sosa. Arrangements under the direction of Connally/Compton Funeral Directors, Waco, TX.
