Lakirkus S. Franks, age 65, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 in Waco, Texas. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2024 at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors in Waco, Texas.

Sandy was born on May 9, 1959 to L. C. and Grace Irene Franks in Waco, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Elm Mott, Texas. He attended St. Louise Catholic Church. Sandy graduated from Reicher Catholic School. He worked for Atco International Company, Baylor University, J. C. Penny's, Bay Wood Truck Company. His dad got sick and he had to quit to take care of him until he passed away in 1996. Then he took care of his mother until she passed away.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his cousin, Friend, Richard Schmidtke of Elm Mott, Texas.
