Julia MontelongoMay 4, 1956 ~ June 9, 2007 Julia Montelongo, 51, of Waco passed away at her home late Saturday, June 9, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wed., June 13, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence Soler as celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Tues., June 12, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel and visitation with family and friends will be after the rosary. Julia was born the daughter of Leonardo Sr. and Lorraine Tellez Montelongo in Waco on May 4, 1956. She graduated from University High School. Julia enjoyed painting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She worked as a customer service representative at the V.A. Hospital cantina. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her parents, who live in Waco; daughters, Gina Ramirez and husband, Augustine and Angela Avila, all of Waco; brothers, Ernest Sr. and wife, Stella Montelongo and Leonardo Jr. and wife, Debbie Montelongo, all of Waco; sisters, Hilda Galindo and husband, Paul Jr. and Diana Villafana and friend, Isaac Martinez, all of Waco; grandson, Jacob Daniel Casiano of Waco; granddaughter, Natalie Danielle Casiano of Waco; nephews, Johnny Jr. and wife, Jessica Villafana, Daniel Villafana, Orlando Montelongo, Sr., and Erik P. Galindo, all of Waco and Ernest Jr. and wife, Jennifer Montelongo of San Antonio; nieces, Natalie Renee Galindo, and Jennica Montelongo, JoAnna Montelongo and Alyssa Montelongo, all of Waco; great-nephew, Orlando Montelongo, Jr. of Waco; and great-nieces, Giana Montelongo of San Antonio and Jisela Villafana of Waco. Pallbearers will be Jacinto Flores, Erik P. Galindo, Ernest Montelongo, Jr., Orlando Montelongo, Sr., Daniel Villafana and Johnny Villafana, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are her nieces, Natalie Galindo, Alyssa Montelongo, Jennica Montelongo, Jennifer Montelongo, JoAnna Montelongo and Jessica Villafana.
