Jovana Milagros Monica Vazquez, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 1, 2026, in Waco, Texas. Born on March 15, 1978, in Memphis, Texas, Jovana’s life was marked by a spirit of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love that touched all who knew her.

Jovana graduated from Aspermont High School in 1996. She loved playing volleyball and basketball and running track, embodying a spirit of energy and determination. Yet, it was in the embrace of her family that she found her greatest happiness. Jovana's house was a haven filled with the joyful presence of her daughters and grandchildren, and she treasured every moment spent at family gatherings. Whether sharing stories around the table or simply enjoying the company of those she loved, these were the moments that truly defined her life.

Her remarkable personality was a beacon of light to her loved ones. Her warmth and infectious laughter created lasting memories that her family and friends will carry in their hearts always. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds, always placing family above all else.

Jovana is survived by her devoted husband, Carlos Vazquez; daughters and sons-in-law, Savannah and Jamie Ramirez, and Cecilia and Jacob Alvarez and Brandi and Martin Ledesma; daughters Anahi Trevino, Danali Vazquez, Yareli Vazquez; son Carlos Vazquez; and eight treasured grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Jessica Martinez, Debbie Ramirez, and Cynthia Ramirez; her brother, Joe Ramirez; and her nieces and nephews, Jacklyn Gonzales, Syriana Gonzales, MaKayla Garcia, along with other nieces and nephews who held her in great affection.

Jovana was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Joe Ramirez, and her grandparents, Maria and Julian Trevino, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.

The family will honor Jovana’s memory with a visitation on April 9, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waco Memorial Funeral Home located at 6623 Interstate 35 S, Robinson, TX. A funeral service will be held on April 10, 2026 starting at 10:00 a.m. at the same location, followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Jovana’s legacy of love, joy, and unwavering devotion to her family will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration. Her presence is deeply missed but her spirit will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
