Obituary

Mrs. Johnnie Lou Hilton, 77 of Whitney, went home to be with the Lord. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Auburn Cemetery in Ellis County.

Johnnie was born on November 3, 1942 to Cleon W. and Verdie Mae (Heather) Kelly in Bridgeport, Arkansas. She was a former resident of Amarillo, Texas prior to moving to Whitney, Texas. She married the love of her life, Calvin LeRoy Hilton on April 13, 1957 in Oklahoma City. Johnnie was a traveling Evangelist for 50 year, traveling in the United States and Africa. She loved traveling, serving people at the Cornerstone Outreach Ministry in Amarillo, Texas, but her true love was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Kelly, twin sister, Betty Ashley, and great-granddaughter, Avery Hilton.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin LeRoy Hilton, sons, Timmy LeRoy and wife, Angel, Roy C. W and wife, Marcae, daughter, Sherry Renee; grandchildren: Summer Ann, Ashlye Dawn, Royal Albin, Ariel Megan, Macrae Danielle, Mercy Jade, Jake James, Aspen McCall, Malyn Ariel, Isaac Lee Colt, Sarah Solange, Sierra Cheyanne, Brodie James. 19 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; nieces, Debbie Ann and husband, Chuck, Sonya Roberts and husband, Ricky, Theresa Kelly, Chrissy Thomason and husband, Robert; many great nieces and nephews, best friend Phyllis Cates and family Mike and Rusty; many more family and friends.
