JoAnn Julia ChambersJoAnn Julia Chambers, 64, of Waco, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at a Waco hospital. A grave-side service was held for the family at Oakwood Cemetery Saturday, March 27 by George Norris and a memorial service for her many friends will be held at the Kingdom Hall at 2308 N. Valley Mills Dr. in Waco at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 3, 2010 by L.C. Nobles. JoAnn was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on October 16, 1945 the third of eleven children to parents Albert Snyder and Margaret Jenkins from Springfield, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her brother James Snyder. JoAnn was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses July 1, 1972 in Corsicana, TX and married to George Chambers April 14, 1978 in Hillsboro, TX, who died July 22, 1993 in Waco, TX.Survivors include nine siblings: Della Fife, Albert Snyder, Lillian Jones, Margaret Waller, Loretta Baker, Carl Snyder, William Snyder, Dorothy Silvers and Alan Snyder; three children: Paula Swatek and husband David of Waco, TX, Bridgett Crumpton and husband Cecil of Bossier City, LA, and Scott Snyder and wife Shelly of Axtell, TX; five grandchildren: Paul Snyder, Felicia Snyder, Timothy Snyder, Daren Snyder and Jimmy Joe Graves; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.JoAnn was proudest of being a faithful and dedicated one of Jehovah's Witnesses for nearly four decades.
