Jimmy Ray Zimmerman, 70, passed away January 14, 2013 at a local hospital.Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery.A visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors from 6-8 p.m.Jimmy was born in Waco, Texas on May 26, 1942. He served two years in the United States Marines. Throughout his life he worked in the Drilling and Construction Industry. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to spend time with his family. Some of his other pastimes were fishing and hunting.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois (Crelia) and Leonard T. Owens.Those left to cherish his memory are sisters, Patricia Neumann of Houston, Glenda Lambert of Bellmead, Donna Williams of Bellmead, and Anita Owens-Johnson and husband Carl of Fort Worth; dear friends, Patricia Hardy and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.The family wishes to thank Providence Hospice and the nurses of Four South of Providence Hospital.
