Jimmy "Ken" Kendall, 75, passed away at Royal Manor December 18, 2013.Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 21, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow at Turnersville Cemetery in Turnersville, Texas.A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.Jimmy was born April 18, 1938 in Westmorland, Tennessee to Robert and Myrtle (Saualice) Kendall. He grew up in Franklin, KN and in 1962 joined the United States Army. During his time with the military he received several honors including, Vietnam Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal W/V Device, Soldiers Medal and the Purple Heart. Jimmy was very honest, hardworking and modest. His family was the light of his life and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings and his wife of 44 years, Wanda June Kendall. Survivors include his children, Michel Michelle Saunders and husband Hans and Jimmy Keith Kendall and fiancée Teresa Lynn Childs; grandchildren, Hans Evan, Liesel Kaitlyn and Michel Kristyn; great grandchild, Braxton Dallas; and siblings, Billy Kendall and Willard Kendall.
