JIMMY FLETCHERJimmy Fletcher, 54, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2004, in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel, with the Rev. Angelo Bertini officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.Mr. Fletcher was born May 4, 1949, in Kerens, Texas to J. P. and Ruby Estelle Combs Fletcher. He graduated from University High School in Waco in 1967. As a sophomore in high school, he began his career with Henson's Printing on Franklin Avenue and at the time of his death he was the owner and operator of the business. He was married to Lynda Grace Fuqua June 15, 1968. Mr. Fletcher's interests were many and varied. He was an officer in VICA, an avid bowler in the Waco Men's Bowling Association, and was the bass guitarist for Texas Heartbeat Band. He also enjoyed woodworking and had made many wooden wishing-wells in his time. In addition, he loved to fish and was the proudest Papa of his five precious grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Annabelle Smith Fletcher who basically raised him, and his sister, Shirley Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Lynda of Waco; a son, Jerry Fletcher of Fort Stockton; a daughter, Tina Pridemore and husband, Brad, of Waco; randchildren: Jonathan Fletcher, Dustin Morrow, Vanesa, Kaleb and Jakob Pridemore; five sisters: Gloria Howard and Sue Ann Fletcher of Waco, Ruby Simpson of Chilton, Sherry Robertson of Bryan and Kathy Stockton of Oklahoma City, OK; several "adopted" daughters and grandchildren; and many special life-long friends. Pallbearers will be Eric Boswell, Jerry Gerik, Aaron Evans, Roger Kirby, David Sartor and Samuel Sarton. Honorary pallbearers are his nephews, Danny Butler, Greg, James and Tom Howard, Danny Simpson, and Jimmy Thomas.
