Jewell F. SimonsJanuary 28, 1920 ~ April 6, 2010 Jewell F. Simons, 90, formerly of Lorena, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in a nursing home in McGregor, TX. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 at Rosenthal Cemetery, Robinson, TX, with Pastor Tom Gutierrez officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. She was born January 28, 1920 to John and Annie Bell (Ridings) Riley in Rosebud, TX. She retired from Lorena ISD where she was a school bus driver for the Special Needs Kids. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Freddy Simons; daughter, AnnaLaura Nelson; and granddaughter, Norma Jean Simons. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, W.F. Simons Sr.; grandsons, W.F. Simons Jr. and John Cook; granddaughters, Trixie Gagliano, Lindsey Whiteside and Katy Simons; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
