Jeanette (Dixon) Cerenzia, formerly of Waco, died Saturday morning, January 19, 2013, in Sherman at the age of 90. Graveside services and interment will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, at Lorena Cemetery with the Reverend Mickey Fugitt officiating, under the direction of Connally Compton Funeral Directors, 4400 West Waco Drive, Waco, Texas. A viewing will commence at 9 a.m. Tuesday until Noon at Connally Compton.Mrs. Cerenzia was born June 19, 1922, in McGregor, the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Carrie (Richie) Dixon. She was a 1940 graduate of South Bosque School and later at 4-C Business College in Waco. On November 1, 1943, she married John Crenzia in Colorado. He preceded her in death May 2, 1995. Much of her life was spent as a accountant in commercial sales in Colorado. In 1998, she returned to Waco from Denver, Colorado where she had lived or forty-seven years. Throughout her life she enjoyed reading novels and in more recent years enjoyed a good game of bingo.Survivors include a brother, Jerry Dixon and wife, Jean of Hewitt; a sister-in-law, Esther Dixon of Waco and many nieces and nephews.For those desiring, the family has suggested the Lorena Cemetery Association or the Humane Society of the donor's own choosing for memorial contributions.
