Janie Kathryn "Vern" Fuentes, 64, passed away in Bryan, Texas, June 26, 2014.Memorial Services will be held 10:30a.m., Monday, June 30, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel.Janie was born November 2, 1949 to Gloria (Reichardt) and Eugene Pavelka in Waco, Texas. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and listening to George Strait. Every Sunday Janie cooked a big meal for her family and relaxed with Old Milwaukee and her Misty Lite 120's. Polka music was her favorite type of music and her favorite movie of all times was Gone with the Wind. You would always know when she was coming by the scent of her perfumes, Vanilla Field and Obsession by Calvin Kline.Janie was preceded in death by her father.Survivors include her husband of over 25 years, Rudy Fuentes; daughter, Ashley Tompkins and husband Patrick; siblings, Dale Bordovsky and husband Jim, Peggy Pursche, and Jerry "Bud" Pavelka and wife Barbara; mother, Gloria Pavelka; grandchild, Teagyn; her fur baby, Binke Marie and several nieces, nephews and friends.Arrangements under the direction of Connally-Compton Funeral Directors, Waco, TX.
