Janice Fischel passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014. Janice was born the second daughterof Abraham Black and Evelyn Bloom on March 10, 1926 in Brooklyn New York. She grew upin Brooklyn with her sister Pat Black-Steinfeld, and two brothers, Seymour Black and MartinBlack. Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved life anddidn't hesitate to travel abroad with her husband, enjoyed cruises, and led an active social lifedining with friends and family anytime she could. Janice was a wonderful homemaker, cook, andcaretaker of her closest friends while living in Florida. In the last several years of her life, shemoved to Texas to be with her daughter and family. She loved her sweet puppies Tiki, Nyoki,and Pablo, who brought her great comfort near the end of her days with us. She passed on to usby great example how to enjoy precious time together filled with laughter. She is survived by hersister, Pat Steinfeld, son, Mark Fischman, daughter, Brenda Knight, daughter, MarleneFischman, six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces and nephews.
