Jamie Mayhorn LondonAugust 3, 1960 ~ July 15, 2007 Jamie Mayhorn London, 46, of Waco, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2007 after a valiant fight with breast cancer. Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2007 at Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Petty officiating with the Rev. Edward Ross as eulogist. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 19, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Jamie was the daughter of Titus and Billye Rhea Scott Mayhorn born on August 3, 1960 in Waco. She graduated from LaVega High School in 1978 and then from Paul Quinn College in 1982. Later she became a teacher at South Waco Elementary. On August 14, 1981 Jamie married Robert London. She was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church and a devoted wife and mother. Preceding Jamie in death were her father, Titus Mayhorn on Nov. 26, 1987; and father-in-law, Wilbert London, Sr. in 1983. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 26 years, Robert London of Waco; daughter, Jasmine Nichole London of Waco; son, Robert London, II of Waco; mother, Billye R. Mayhorn of Bellmead; father, Melvin Mallett, Sr. of Tyler; brothers, Melvin Mallett, Jr. of Tyler, Kevin Mayhorn of Waco, and Gerald Mallett of Dallas; sister, Rhonda Hunter Wills of Houston; mother-in-law, LouElla Carter of Satin; grandmother, Jurline Scott of Waco; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 1311 N. New Rd., Waco, TX 76710.
