James Brian Dennis, age 61, 0f McGregor, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in McGregor, Texas after long battle with Cancer. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Sat. July 23, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor Don Bohne officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 22, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. James was born on July 19, 1950 in Chester, Pennsylvania to Bill and Linnie Jackson Dennis. He was a lifetime resident of McGregor. James graduated from Richfield High School in 1969 in Waco. He retired from Yellow Freight and then went to work in the family business, oil and gas distribution in McGregor. James was known by his friends as "Cat".
