Jack Kendrick, 91, of Waco, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 23, 2006. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, at Waco Memorial Park with the Dr. John Collier officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 24 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Jack Killough was born the son of Robert T. and Mary Lou Killough Kendrick in Hart, Texas on June 10, 1914. He went to school in Plainview, Texas where he met and married his wife, Marion Mitchell. They moved to Waco in 1938. Jack was involved in the construction and building of the Alaskan Highway in the early 1940's. When he returned to Waco he worked for Owen Illinois Glass Plant for over 30 years, retiring in 1978. Preceding Jack in death were his wife of 63 years, Marion Mitchell Kendrick, in 1996; parents; sisters, Robbie Jones and Zulicka O'Daniel; and brother, Marcellus Kendrick. Survivors include sons, Robert Kendrick and wife, Cleta of Waco and Jack K. Kendrick of Brownsboro; daughter, Jean Thorn and husband, William of Waco; grandchildren, Brad Kendrick, Tori Sorsbey and Rene McDowell; great grandchildren, Logan, Cameron, Michel Dean, Wesley, Kristen and Alyssa; and nieces, Donna, Dixie, Linda and Carolyn.
