Ismay Ann Hartman Maples went home to be with our Lord April 5, 2016.A celebration of life will be held at 10:00a.m., Saturday, April 9, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held with family and friends from 6 to 8:00p.m., Friday, April 8, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.Ann was born February 18, 1929 to W.O. and Violet (Lane) Hartman in Arcadia, Kansas. She married Tom B. Maples on July 14, 1956. She devoted her entire life to caring for others from 1953 until her retirement from Providence Hospital in 1985. Ann was a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years and opened the hearts and minds of many young people. She enjoyed quilting, crochet, reading and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.Survivors include her children, Denise, Sheila and husband Larry Webb, Tommy and wife Jamie Maples, Roger and wife Carina Maples, Roxane Barlow along with her brother, Kenneth and wife Emma Hartman and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.Arrangements under the direction of Connally-Compton Funeral Directors, Waco, TX.
