Ingrid LevyIngrid Levy, 63, of Lorena, died after her long hard fought battle with cancer, in a Temple hospital on Thursday, December 2, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Krupicka officiating. Ingrid Karen Schmidt was born to Rudolf and Ella Runge Schmidt on November 8, 1941 in Deep, Germany. She came from Germany on May 19, 1952. Ingrid graduated from McArthur High School in San Antonio. She married Leo "Buck" Russell Levy on April 23, 1941 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Temple. She was a homemaker, busy raising their three sons until the early 1990's when she began working in the medical field until her retirement in September of this year. Ingrid proudly took her oath of U. S. citizenship on June 2, 1993. She enjoyed traveling, listening to Charley Pride, her church and of course, her family. Preceding Ingrid in death were her father; husband; and step brother, Rudolph Schmidt.Surviving Ingrid are her three sons, Rusty and wife Becky of Georgetown, Randy and wife Suzanne of Troy, and Kevin and wife Michelle of Lorena; mother, Ella Schmidt of Clifton; brother, Jurgen Schmidt and wife Ann of Troy; sisters, Helga Hilliard of Temple, and Gisela Gaeke of Highlands; grandchildren, Sydni, Griffin & Baylie of Georgetown, Morgan, Mallory & Macey of Troy, and Dalton & Karleigh of Lorena; in-laws, Bill & Billie Faye DeFrees of Waco, Jimmy & Sharri Woods of Wimberly, Jerry & Susie Woods of Spring, and Edgar & Gladys Farris of McGregor; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, friends, and co-workers from Scott & White Fish Pond.Pallbearers will be Roy Anderson, Jeff Conner, Chad Copeland, Hank Fielder, Henry Lippe, Allan Nickel, Brett Wood, and Bobby Zimmerman.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 800 N.
