Hope Carlson, 92, of Waco, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at her residence. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, August 14, 2015 in May Cemetery in May, Texas with Elder Richard Cutler officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 13th at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.Mrs. Carlson was born on July 8, 1923 in Clovis, New Mexico to Edgar L. and Flossie Nobblitt Keegan. She lived most of her life in Texas and received her teaching degree from Texas A - I University. Mrs. Carlson taught in Brownwood and worked as Extension Services – food and nutrition classes. Her main love was home, family and friends; she will be deeply missed by who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by parents, husbands, Edward Pledge and Hugh Carlson; son, Kirby Edward Pledge and sister, Jane Key.Survivors in her godson, Arash Abnoussi who gave her immense joy and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
