Henry HahmannMay 13, 1929 ~ May 3, 2009 Henry Hahmann, 79, of Waco, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2009. Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. David Hardage officiating. Burial will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery in Mooreville. Visitation with family and friends will be 5 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, at the funeral home. Henry Karl Otto Hahmann was born to Rosie Raabe and George Hahmann in Mooreville, Texas on May 13, 1929. He drove a truck for Central Freight Line for 34 years before retiring. Henry was married on March 21, 1981 to Fannie Jean Miller. He enjoyed working in the yard and mowed several lawns for neighborhood widow women. Besides being a good neighbor, Henry "Papaw" was crazy about his grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Fannie Hahmann, of Waco; daughters and their husbands, Joyce and Larry Nesrsta of Hewitt and Susan and Bill Felton of Fort Worth; granddaughters and their husbands, Michelle and Michael Benoski of The Woodlands, Dawn and Lario Vasquez of Rio Vista and Eva and David Harger of Lake City, Florida; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Cheyenne and Codie. Pallbearers will be Edward and Larry Nesrsta, Brian and Daniel Petter, and Jonathan and Lario Vasquez.
