Gloria June Tambling, age 84, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Robinson, Texas. Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Connally Compton. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, at the funeral home.

Gloria was born July 1, 1933 to Tom and Winnie Bledsoe in Gunter, Texas. She was a longtime resident of the Waco area. She was full of life and adventure and loved her family and friends. Gloria held many positions in her life from working at Providence and the VA to driving an 18-wheeler as well as owning her own business.

She was preceded in death by her husband Captain Myron Allen Tambling, Jr; son, Mitchell Tambling; parents; four sisters and one brother.

Gloria leaves behind her children to cherish her memories; Susan Atkins and husband Ernie, Lisa Tambling and Myron Tambling. Grandchildren Kaela Thurman and husband Jason, Jenny Atkins, Kimber Demas and husband, Cody and three great-grandchildren. Siblings Darrell Bledsoe and wife Doris, Ina Jo Jackson and husband Joe and Ducky Bledsoe; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends from her Papa Joes' family.
