Georgia Garcia EspinozaAugust 7, 1921 – January 19, 2011 Georgia Garcia Espinoza, 89, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at her granddaughter's home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2011 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 315 Jefferson Avenue with Father Roman A. Burgos, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with a rosary being recited at 5:00 p.m. by Deacon Jessie C. Garza. Georgia was born August 7, 1921 in San Marcos, Texas to Gregorio and Anita (Ybarra) Castillo. Georgia and her husband, Jesse O. Espinoza, were owners of De Colores Restaurant, Georgia Drive-In, Red Rooster, and Espinoza's Ice House. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Jesse O. Espinoza; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. Those left behind to cherish Georgia's memory are her children, Mary Martinez, Jesse Ortiz, and Steve Espinoza and wife, Alma; sister, Beatrice Flores; grandchildren, Cecilia, Monica, Yolanda, Stevie, Ricky, and Jesse Martinez, Paz and Mito Espinoza; great grandchildren, Lupe, Tony, Joseph, and Roman Olivarez, Vanessa, Rebecca, and Chris Perez, Sarah and Mya Zylberfuden, Jessica, Kayla, Ricky Jr., Zoey, Juan, Jose, and Alicia Martinez; 9 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Jesse Martinez, Joseph, Lupe, Roman, and Tony Olivarez, and Chris Perez. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Bluebonnet Hospice and to her caregivers, Cecilia and Roman, for the love and care given to Georgia.
