George Findley WalkerDec. 31, 1909 ~ Feb. 10, 2008 Findley Walker, 98, formerly of Waco, passed away at a hospital in Ft. Worth on Sunday, February 10, 2008. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Jack Mullins officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Wed., Feb. 13 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. George Findley was born on Dec. 31, 1909 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Susan Lelia Findley and Nathaniel Jackson Walker. He was reared in Dallas and attended SMU and University of Texas on golf scholarships. He was with Southwestern Transportation Co. in Waco, as manager. Preceding Findley in death were his parents; wife, Christine Reagan Walker; and his brothers and sisters. Those left behind to cherish his memory are sons, Ross Walker and wife, Marlen of Richardson and Larry Walker and wife, Pennie of Waxahachie; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
