Frances Rose ClemmonsApril 23, 1920 ~ December 29, 2007Frances Rose Clemmons, 87, of Waco died on Saturday, December 29, 2007. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2007 at Rosemound Cemetery with the Reverend Curtis Holland officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, December 30, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Frances Rose was born on April 23, 1920 here in Waco to parents, Oliver Perry Chambers and Rose Schaeffer. She married Robert in 1942 at a military base in Georgia before he was killed in 1944 in Italy. Frances was a charter member of Grace Temple Baptist Church. She retired in 1982 after 25 years as cafeteria manager for the WISD. She loved to cook and was an excellent one. Frances was a loving Granny who traveled extensively with her granddaughters and enjoyed playing many games of 42 with her friends. Preceding Frances in death were her parents; her husband, Robert Clemmons, Sr. in April of 1944 in WWII; brother, O.P. Chambers; and sister, Louise. Survivors include her son, Robert (Bob) Clemmons and wife, Sandra of Waco; granddaughters, Tracy Murray and husband, Ernest of Lufkin and Leah Murphy and husband, Mike of Waco; and five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Amy and Zachary Murray and Kelsey and Kendall Murphy.
