Obituary

Floyd "Wayne" Hudson, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, April 9th, 2026. He was born on November 3, 1942, in Waco, Texas, to Floyd and Margaret Hudson.

Wayne led a life marked by dedication, hard work, and a deep love for his family and the simple pleasures of life.

He began his journey growing up in Waco. Later in life, he eventually settled in San Antonio, working as a bus driver for the Northside School District, where he met his wife, Rachel, before moving back to Waco. He worked for CF Supply for many years until his retirement at the end of last year.

Wayne cherished riding his Harley Davidson and found great joy in watching his Baylor Bears, whether football or basketball, sitting in his recliner with their beloved dog Coco. He also found pleasure in sitting outside on his back porch smoking his cigar.

His personal life was enriched by his beloved wife of fifteen years, Rachel E. Hudson. Wayne was a proud and loving stepfather to his daughter, Nannette Ali, and her husband, Usman, and son Joshua Sauceda and his wife Veronica—two children whose memories live on through his four grandchildren, Andrew, Aidan, Adria, and Armika, and five grandchildren. Wayne is also fondly remembered by his twin sister Faye and her husband Jim, one other sister, and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Margaret Hudson.

A Celebration of Life in Wayne's honor will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 4:00 pm at his home, 6613 Burling St., Woodway, Texas, 76712.
