Mr. Felix Hurtado, 89, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Benjie officiating. Interment will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the funeral home.

Felix was born on January 13, 1931 to Juan and Tabusia (Sanchez) Hurtado in Mart, Texas. He attended school in Mart. Felix was a longtime resident of Waco. He was also a longtime member of the Waco Missions (private club) and also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Felix worked in the woodworking industry for many years. He enjoyed baseball, woodwork, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Felix was preceded in death by parents, son, Frankie Hurtado, brothers, Albert Hurtado, A.S. Hurtado, Julio Hurtado, Rufus Hurtado, Leon Hurtado, Joe Hurtado, sisters, Hope, Mary, Loraine, Janie, and Pauline.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Rangel of Waco; son, John Renee Hurtado; grandchildren, Felicia, Scarlet, John Alex, brother, Steve Hurtado; numerous nieces and nephews.
