Obituary

Elias Jacinto, 96 of Waco, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in Temple, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with Reverend Joel Davilla officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the funeral home.

Elias was born on January 5, 1927 to Cecilio and Florencia (Espinoza) Jacinto in Laredo, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Waco. He served in the United States Army for two years. Elias married the love of his life, Angelina Vanegas on June 6, 1953 in Waco. They celebrated 52 years together. Elias and Angelina own and operated a small grocery store in Waco. Enjoyed singing church music, attending the Baylor games, and watching the parade downtown Waco. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and attending church at Templo Cristiano Assemblea for 55 years in Waco.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Angelina Jacinto, sister, Raquel Loredo, brother, Jose Jacinto.

Survivors include his brothers, Samuel Jacinto of Eagle Pass, Toby Jacinto of Eagle Pass, Daniel Jacinto of Waco, Cecil Jacinto of Waco and Roberto Jacinto of San Antonio; sisters, Alicia Fuentes of Waco, Elizabeth Iglesias of Waco; numerous nephew, nieces, cousins and a host of friends.

Pallbearers: Benny Rodriguez, Zeke Rodriguez, Ernest Martinez, Rufus Martinez, Hector Loredo, Jason Iglesias.
