Edith M. Burk, 91, of Ross went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family, Tuesday, August 30 at Hillcrest Hospital. In lieu of a funeral, there will a Celebration of Life gathering at the farm, 717 E. White Oak Rd., Ross on Saturday, September 3 from 2-6pm. Edith was born on the family farm in Welcome, MN to Augusta (Clausen) and Frank Stusse. She worked at various sheriff and police departments and eventually retired from Waco PD from the records department. She also spent over 15 years at H&R Block during tax season. She loved to travel across the country and overseas to visit friends and relatives and gather family genealogy information on the family tree. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings - Henry, Alvin, Jane; daughter - Alice Forbes; and husbands - Herschel Forbes, Martin Gulebian. She is survived by her former husband - David T Burk; her sons – Paul Forbes, Charles Gulebian; her daughter – Carmen Burk; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
