Edith Evonne Ellebracht Benner

Edith Evonne Ellebracht Benner, 86, of Waco passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Edith was born March 28, 1940, in Fredericksburg, Texas to Edgar and Olivia Ellebracht. She graduated from Harper High School. It was there she met the love of her life, Bobby Joe Benner. They married on June 13, 1959, after his return from the Air Force.

The couple lived in Kerrville, Texas where their 2 children were born. After a couple of years, they relocated to Waco. Edith assisted Bobby with his home delivery business, making sure the books and paperwork were kept in order.

Edith enjoyed spending time in the garden and planting flowers. She was a sweet and kind soul with the softest voice. Her memory was impeccable – she never forgot a thing!

Edith will be cherished forever by her children, Brenda Roedler and husband, David and Terry Benner and wife, Missy; her grandchildren, Trevor Benner, Brittany Asbury and husband, Jason, Dustin Roedler and wife, Brittany, and Tyler Roedler; and her great grandchildren, Delilah, Ranger, Brayden, Gavin, Addilyn, and Wiley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ellis Edgar Ellebracht.
