Earlene Hollingshead Giles, 84, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2022. The family will receive family and friends from 10am to 12pm on Monday November 28, 2022 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors in Waco. Graveside Service will be held at 1pm on Monday at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery.

Earlene was born on July 10, 1938 in Brownwood, Tx to Tom and Odessa King Hollingshead. She grew up in the Dallas area where she later married and raised two children. The family moved to Waco where she was a devoted mother and pursued a career in nursing. She retired from the Waco Veterans Hospital as a Nursing Education Instructor after over 20 years of service. After retirement she relocated to Victoria, Tx to be near her grandchildren.

Earlene was preceded in death by her parents, brother and her son David Giles.

She is survived by her daughter Diane Eder and husband Victor of Victoria, Tx, grandsons Matthew and Zach Eder wife Sarah and two great-grandchildren Victor and Walter Eder, and a sister Threcia Gallant husband Archie and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
