Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Darrel Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 at the funeral home. Dorothy Mae was born August 4, 1926 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to William Thomas and Amanda Bertrue (Holley) Price. She graduated from San Jacinto College in Houston and retired after 35 years from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Katherine Scott, Ruby Jennings, Oleta Price and Baby Doris Price. Those left behind to cherish Dorothy Mae's memory are her children, Charlene Umberger, Darlene Nobles and husband, Danny Sr., and Charles Turner Jr.; grandchildren, Larry Umberger, Danielle Rae Nobles, Melissa Overall, Danny Nobles Jr., Ryan Umberger, Casey Turner, and Dusty Nobles; great grandchildren, Devon Wright, Sophia Umberger, Raney Goodrum, Alissa Umberger, Kylie Mae Lawrence, and Dutch Aiden Nobles.
