Mrs. Dorothy Marie Folz, age 75, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Hewitt, Texas. Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Waco Memorial Park in Waco. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.Mrs. Folz was born September 17, 1941 to Fred and Helen (Hankins) Kyker in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was a longtime resident of Waco and affiliated with the Lutheran faith. Dorothy was involved with the following organizations: Red Hat Society, and community square dancing of Waco. Mrs. Folz was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sy C. Folz; son, Steven C. Folz in 1981; dear friend, Nora Pace; traveling companion, Lee Keeney. Survivors include brother, Bobby Gene and wife, Geraldine Kyker of Kemah, Texas; nephew, Jerry Kyker and family of Kemah, Texas; numerous cousins and host of friends.Memorials may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
