Obituary

Mr. Don Howard Summers, was called home by our Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 7, 2011 surrounded by his loving friends and family. Don was born on September 19, 1937 in Champaign, Illinois to Fred and Beverly Summers. He entered the United States Navy in July 1955 and received a good conduct medal and an honorable discharge in July 1963 and later become a Texan. He spent his career as a computer engineer. He was an avid believer in social and physical benefits of the YMCA with many loving friends. He was also a firm believer in God and Country. He was a member of the Waco Tea Party. He worked diligently to keep our conservative values and country strong and free; conveying those ideals to others who knew him. He was preceded in death by two children, Mark Tonks and Michelle Summers. He leaves behind his loving wife, June Summers of Crawford, TX; children: Chuck Tonks of IL, Becky Summers Rossman of IL. and Vincent Summers of Ohio, Donald Eary, Thomas Eary, Cheryl McEndree and Pamela Alonzo all from TX; 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; step-father, Elwood Cahoon of AZ; brothers, Steward Summers of TX and Edward Summers of CO; sister, Katherine Summers of CO and Sylvia Rexroad of AZ.
