DeAlva Riherd DeAlva Riherd, age 79, passed away Sept. 28, 2005. Services will be 10:00 am Friday, Sept. 30 at Central United Methodist Church. Internment will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, Oct. 1, at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring, TX. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Thursday, Sept. 29 at Connally/Compton Funeral Home. Mrs. Riherd was born Dec. 9, 1925 in Fort Worth, TX to Joe S. Watkins and Corrine Rogers Watkins. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and served as president of United Methodist Women for several years. She was also on The Laura Edwards board of directors. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and decorating. Mrs. Riherd always had a great sense of humor and lived with a song in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Joe Riherd. Survivors include her loving husband, Carl Riherd, daughter, Peggy and husband Richard; son John and wife Jan; Grandchildren Matthew and wife Stephanie, Jonathan, Dustin and wife Debi, Nicole, and Morgan; brothers, George Watkins, Ronald Watkins, Douglas Watkins, Novle Watkins; sisters, Juanda Dean, Mozelle Sewell, Patricia Keefer, Margaret Nardone,Donations may be made to the Central United Methodist Childcare Center 2301 W.
