Crispino Walter Pirelo

Crispino Walter Pirelo of Waco passed away August 5, 2026 at the age of 100. Mr. Pirelo will be available to receive visitors on Friday, August 7, 2026 between the hours of 10am & 4pm at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at 9am on Monday, August 10, 2026 with a graveside ceremony and military honors.

Crisp was born June 29, 1926 in Waco, Texas to Catherine (Bivona) and Rev. Newton Pirelo. He proudly served his country in the Navy, Air Force, Navy Reserves, and Air Force Reserves for a total of 33 years. The culmination of his military service was when he was accepted to participate in the Honor Flight program which took him to Washington, D.C. to visit the war memorials. He was accompanied by Christine, his youngest daughter. 

Crisp, a World War II veteran, owned Pirelo's Barbershop for 25 years and then was employed by the VA Hospital's police department for 11 years. 

He was quite proud of his service with the Gideon International organization. He served our Lord through passing out Bibles at many events in the Central Texas area.

Crisp was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Doris Pirelo; his parents; 5 brothers; and one sister. 

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Katherine Pirelo Dean and husband, Larry, Christine Pirelo Lunger and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Lisa Jackson Rogers and husband, Steven, April Dean McAdams and husband, Corey, Marissa Pirelo Davenport and husband, Tim; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rogers, Caden Rogers, Harper Davenport, and Hayden Davenport.
