Obituary

Cirila SanchezCirila (Lillie) Sanchez, 74, of Waco, passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday, January 13, 2004. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Adejoe as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Rosemound Garden of Memories Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel.Lillie was born to the late Luciana Ortiz and Alejandro Candia Gonzales in Clifton on March 18, 1929. She married JoseŒ Guadalupe Sanchez on November 25, 1954. Lillie was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she enjoyed volunteering her time. She was also a member of Sociedad Guadalupana, Sociedad del Apostolado do la Oracion Iglesia del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, Cursillista, and the third Order of St. Francis Catholic Church. Lillie was a co-owner of L & M Flower Shop until her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed raising her chickens and geese. Also preceding Lillie in death were her brother, Frank Gonzales, 3 sisters, Margaret and Epifania Gonzales, and Maryann Reyes.Surviving Lillie are her husband, JoseŒ Sanchez of Waco; son, Eugene Molina and wife, Diane, of Bryan; daughter, Lucy Felan Sanchez and husband, Donato of Waco; 2 grandsons, Donald Sanchez, Jr. and wife, Mary of Waco, and Alex Sanchez and wife, Carmen of Waco; 3 granddaughters, Lucy Ann Sanchez of Austin, and Kylee and Ali Wyrick of Bryan; 5 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother's-in-law; sister's-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and 163 god-children.Pallbearers will be Ruben Castillo, Ben Chapa, Jr., Edward Drewery, Matt Felan, David Martinez, Abel Sanchez, Jr., Ricky Sanchez, and Steve Sanchez.
