Charles David Stange Jr., age 51, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Temple, Texas. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, at 6:00 p.m. at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with Rev. Curt Kruschwitz officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Charles was born on May 24, 1960 in Germany. He was adopted by Charles and Catherine Stange known as Pop and Mom. Charles resided in Waco at the time of his death. He married LeAnn (Handwork) Stange on September 26, 2011 at the V. A. Hospital in Temple. Charles served in the United States Army from 1986-1992 in which he fought for our freedom during Desert Storm and as well served as Deputy Sheriff in San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Charles leaves behind his wife, Mrs. LeAnn Stange; daughters, Angelina Stange, Laura, Cynthia, Shayla and Charlotte; son, Rick; grandchildren, Rosie, Ryleigh, Matthew, Ricquie, C. J., Ashley, Gabriel, Brennon, and two to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to American Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered at Connally-Compton.com
